Microfiction Monday
I once worked at a small museum that had a large collection of dolls. That’s already a very good starting point for creepiness, but to add to that, some types of plastic (especially early plastics) don’t age very well, releasing gases and compounds as they age that will degrade other parts of the doll–especially the eyes. We had multiple dolls on which one or both eyes had crumbled into a white powder.
Nothing like opening a box in a dark, silent museum basement and unwrapping one of those!
